 | Director of Development & Public Relations WDIY 88.1 FM, Lehigh Valley Community Public Radio, the Lehigh Valley NPR Member Station, located in Bethlehem, PA is looking for a full-time, permanent Development & Public Relations Director to carry out all development, public relations and marketing activities for the organization. The position reports to the Executive Director, and has an anticipated start date of April 5, 2010. A college degree is required, together with a minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience. Experience in public radio, including on-air fundraising, is desirable.
This position covers Membership, Major Giving, Planned Giving, Endowment, Grants from Private and Corporate Foundations and Local and State Government, Special Events, Community Outreach, Marketing and Public Relations, and has responsibility for revenue generation and growth from Membership, Grants & Events.
WDIY, celebrating 15 years of broadcasting, carries flagship NPR programming for 7 or 8 hours per day, and complements this with locally produced, volunteer hosted music and public affairs programming, with a broad span of stimulating music including classical, AAA, jazz, folk, blues and world. WDIY is heavily embedded in the local community with around one hundred community partnerships.
This is a permanent, full-time position with benefits; salary negotiable based on experience.
